Previously I tried the U sub with e^10x rather than splitting e^10x up into (e^5x)^2 from there I could not solve the integral correctly.

Real-World Application

This particular example interests me for many reasons. Primarily I chose to study the world of computer sciences so I could help people. My father is working on solving Alzheimer's disease, and I hope math and computer science can give me unique abilities to tackle the final frontier which is the brain.

DRUG DEVELOPMENT

A new drug to help Alzheimer's patients regain cognition is in clinical trials. The biologists cannot seem to figure out what the total drug level in the blood is. They do know that on average the drug behaves like C(t)= 10e^(-2t) where 10 is the concentration, and e^(-2t) is the rate at which metabolism kills the drug. What is the total drug level in the blood over the entire course of the dosage?
